Lecture topic: The role of Sectm1a-mediated macrophage burial in cardiac I/R injury and repair.

Expert profile: Guochang Fan, a tenured professor of the Department of Pharmacology, University of Cincinnati, USA, who won the American Heart Association (AHA) Outstanding Investigator Award, independently presided over 7 National Institutes of Health (NIH) priorities Project (R01), and serves as a review expert for key projects of AHA and NIH in the United States.


Research expertise: Infectious and non-infectious inflammation-induced organ damage and repair studies, elucidating the role of heat shock protein Hsp20, non-coding RNA, exosomes, and immune cells in regulating cardiovascular disease, sepsis multi-organ damage, and therapeutic effects. He has published more than 110 papers as first author or corresponding author in international journals such as Blood, Cell Reports, Cardiovascular Research, Circulation, Circulation Research, Diabetes, Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM),  Molecular Therapy, etc. Total citations: 9,800; H index: 57.
